MUSE OF THE DAY: LEA T. (6/21/11)

My motto is always: ALL AGES, ALL SEXES, ALL RACES, SAMPLE SIZE ;-)

Lea T., transexual supermodel, who has graced the recent catwalk,

mused Riccardo Tisci, and starred in the Givenchy ad campaign.

Changes are making waves in what society deems is beautiful, 

and I second that which is why Lea T. is my muse of the day.

THE PROMISED FEEL BAD MOVIE OF XMAS

ATTENTION ALL LISBETH SALANDER FANS! 

You won't be disappointed this Christmas after watching the

American remake of 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'

by David Fincher. Many are hesitant as the original

was beyond, but Fincher's grotesque remake promises

to get down and gritty with more details and follow a more

precise dialog to the literary series. 

I can't wait for the costuming by Trish Summerville as she

transforms previously seen Fincher muse, Rooney Mara,

from college East-coast nerd to hard metal death rock avenger. 

Also looking forward to a stellar soundtrack from Trent Reznor.

The teaser track in the trailer is with Yeah Yeah Yeah's lead singer,

Karen O, performing Led Zepplin's "Immigrant Song". LOVE!

THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO is released in the USA on 12/21/11,

just in time to lift my Christmas spirits with some inspiration.

I want to highlight my father in particular, Douglas J. Classen.

Today I spent the day styling an editorial ONES2WATCH & an exclusive for FASHION-GONE-ROGUE. Check out a sneak peak of these behind the scenes snaps from Taiwan based avant-garde sculptural label, Johan Ku. He attended Central Saint Martin's (alumni: Hussein Chalayan, Alexander McQueen, Gareth Pugh, etc.), and the same year of his attendance his first collection won Gen Art's Design Vision of Avant Garde Award in New York. This is a talent to keep your eyes out for....

I'm already IN my grave.....

WHERE THE NAME ALL BEGAN.....

 

I styled this story back in the Spring of 2009 before one of my most inspirational fashion films was released, 'Black Swan'. It still this to this day is one of my favorite stories I've created. There is such magic in each of the pieces of the model is wearing (not only because most was from Christian Lacroix's final Haute Couture collections). Whenever I feel as if I'm in a complete stump with creativity, I tend to pull up these images and be inspired again. Her movements we composed, the captivating stares, the couture essence, and pops of bold color. Parisian chic at its finest! Sometimes your own work can be your own muse and inspire you to create big and better work.....
